garden this summer!

 This is what we planted in our garden this summer: (everything's been great!)

• tomatoes (Early Girl, Fourth of July, 3 others that I'm not sure about); they've been producing pretty steadily and have been good this year
• lemon cucumber; DELICIOUS but unfortunately we've only picked one (today) the whole summer and it has no new blooms or buds. ( better for sunnier areas- our vegetable garden is so shaded!)
• basil ; from Trader Joe's, has remarkably good flavor and is very big and bushy.
• nasturtiums; we planted these from pretty old seeds and a few came up & bloomed a bit, but as mentioned, we have a shady backyard....  :(
• wildflowers; we were so surprised when these actually grew!!!! They are still looking good!
• strawberries; they have produced a lot more fruit than usual!!! Big and juicy too!
• we planted sweet potatoes today! We'll see how they turn out!
• potatoes; looking pretty good now!
